The Worth of A Woman

She sat there all day long
Longing, sobbing …
The world only a little space
When you let your mind race

All your past seen in a tiny flash
And all the pains unwrap in one gash
And nothing is so true –
Every truth straggles between lies

The worth of a woman
Can only be seen in retrospect
When she sees the man
And can’t feel her self-respect
